About MeThis is my 13th year of teaching in Special Education. Prior to starting at Walnut Springs in March of 2015, I taught for 3 years in elementary in Brookshire, TX, and 6 years in a middle school in Houston. I have worked primarily in the areas of Resource and Inclusion, but also have some experience in Life Skills and Adaptive Behavior settings.
I grew up in New Jersey, and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1999. I am certified in Texas as a Generalist for Early Childhood through 4th grade, in Special Education for all grade levels, and ESL. I currently live in Wimberley with my husband (also a DSISD teacher) and my three daughters. We are really enjoying the Hill Country, and like to spend our free time enjoying the outdoors and taking in live music. I also enjoy reading, cooking and baking, and teaching! This year I will be co-teaching in a 4th grade classroom with Mr. Clark. I'm looking forward to a great year! |
